advertising & marketing your products, your web site and affiliate programs.

As an affiliate marketer, I discovered that getting on the front page of Google isn’t as hard as you might think! Today I was searching for a keyphrase for an affiliate program that I’m in and discovered one of my splash pages on the front page of Google. I didn’t realize it until today that Google’s search engine results will relate certain keywords with others in their results.

The splash page didn’t even have the keyphrase that I was searching for anywhere in the content!

I’ve also discovered that having an account at Myspace.com has major advantages when posting in your blog. I read an article on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) that explained when you first put up a site, you should post in blogs that are on sites rating a 6 or higher, linking back to your new site. The search engines look at the rating of the site that links to a new site and will submit the new site to the search engines faster!

Since I have a Google toolbar, I decided to check the ratings for a few of the social sites that I belong to. Myspace rates an eight on that little green bar!

I had a mini-site for an affiliate program, that reached the number one position in about a week for the acronym and the full name. I was able to keep it there because I posted at Myspace.com and several other social networking sites whenever my site dropped to number two on the results page.

One of my fellow associates for the same affiliate program, was smart enough to create a profile at Myspace with the actual name of the affiliate program. Her profile stayed near the top because of the:

  • Name of the profile - the affiliate program name.
  • The content on the profile - contained the affiliate program name in several locations.
  • The number of friends that linked to the profile - search engines pay attention to favorites and backlinks.
  • Display Name - the affiliate program name.

Besides that, she was wearing a bikini. The search engines didn’t pick it up, but the members of Myspace.com did!!!

I recently added another web page to my site Laprial’s Fortune, LLC about good leadership skills. If you are into socializing at the different social sites because you are marketing to your list of new friends about an affiliate program that also requires you to sponsor individuals than you should probably take a look at my new web page. It gives you a description of traits that you need to learn to become a good leader for your team.

There are a lot of people that are unable to lead a team because they don’t have any idea about what to do or where to start. Good leadership skills are not something that you are born with, it’s something that you learn! Some learn earlier than others through activities in their childhood and others don’t develop the skills until later, but you can learn to be a leader!

Besides failing on the Internet due to a lack of knowledge and experience in affiliate marketing there are lots of individuals that fail due to lack of leadership skills. Don’t let that be YOU!

At the end of the article is a link to a site that has all sorts of information for you to access on becoming a good leader. Stop by my site for a visit. Thee’s already plenty of information about affiliate advertising & marketing!

SNOE - Social Networking Online Entrepreneur

I’m sure you’re wondering how the title SNOE got started. Well, rather than give you a long speech you can read all about it at Laprial’s Fortune, LLC where an entire page is dedicated to the explanation of the title SNOE.

I’ll tell you one thing before you go there, it was Celestine Gray that started the catch phrase because she was tired of everyone that socializes calling themselves social networking junkie!

Are you one of those members at the social sites that just sit there waiting for people to come to you? Would you classify yourself as an introvert? You can’t make friends that way! Click on some of those links in the menu and take a tour of the site.

A good place for you to go would be the forum. There’s always lots of interesting topics that you can join in on. Find something that interests you and leave a comment.

If you have a passion for sci-fi, art, sports, auto mechanics or even cooking, there is usually a forum that has some great conversation going.

You joined the site to meet new friends so hop to it!

Once you feel comfortable with just leaving a few posts, I suggest joining a group or two and posting a few topics that will interest the group. One topic that always works well would start out, “Did you know …..”

You can always visit the area for videos and watch a few. I’ve found some rather amazing videos at some of the sites and just had to leave a comment or rate the video. Don’t be surprises if you get a response back from the member that posted it!

If you are at the social site to advertise something like a few survey programs that you’re in, please don’t over do it with the comments or you will be deleted from the site. That is a constant problem at Myspace.com. I’ve seen a lot of college students get deleted from the site because they start spamming their friends. It’s always the same information with a different link in the comment.

I recently added a new friend that is obviously in that situation and sent the individual an email letting them know about the spamming situation there. I warned the person to be careful with their advertising. Since then, I have received numerous comments from that same individual. Some people just don’t want to listen! I’m sure they will be removed within the next week or two at the rate they are going.
